Rock rails seem to be default in Badlands.

Can they actually be used for kids to get in and out of vehicle like powder coated side steps?

They looked to be tucked in pretty tight. I don't think that'll be an option.

Lots of badlands rigs on YouTube for you to get a peek.

no, rock rails sit under the vehicle, they're not really steps.
Thank you. So is there any option at all to get side steps along with rock rails? i dont see any from Ford atleast.

They're not like typical aftermarket sliders where they stick out some. These are tucked up on the frame.

They may be default on 2 door but not the 4 door IIRC. They are a charge of $595(?).

Thank you, that hopefully gives me option to get side steps after the purchase. I dont really need rock rails as its not going to climb crazy rocks on my watch....

you could probably get the tube step from ford, but aftermarket will support this within prob 3-6 months tops.

Real rock sliders stick out much further and have a kickout for the back tire. These low profile ones are useless.

You can use real sliders as steps if you either weld a step plate on them or put skateboard tape on the rails so they don't get too slick.
