Did the pins just push out with hammer and punch, no keeper?
No keeper, I used a punch and a mini sledge. Going to reassemble tomorrow. Want the paint to dry nice. I wanted to freshen up the white.

1. Pop off the plastic surrounds around the D-rings. Unclip sensors
2. Remove 3 bolts on either side ( driver & passenger ) unclip foglights
3. Lift bumper up a little and slide off towards you.
4. Flip bumper on its face, remove 1 bolt each side holding the shackle mount to the bumper.

question will the the plastic surrounds come off with a pry tool and does the skid plate need to come off ?

Did you assemble it backwards? The stampings on the D-Ring is not visible on my capable bumper (outward facing).

Well, no one will know, except everyone on B6G that reads your admission, as you can only see the stampings up close. I think it looks great.

Thank you. I’m glad they both happened to face that way, because my OCD would have kicked in and it would already be taken apart again.

Do you think I could punch the pins out while the D rings are still mounted to the truck ?
I tried that before, I couldn’t get a good enough hit with the mini sledge. Plus my luck I would slip and smash something

I actually just did this 30 minutes ago, hammered out the pins while still on vehicle. Just have to take the plastic popoff covers off first. Painting them now. Takes a couple good hits, but once the pin starts it is easy.
