Ceramic coat cameras?

I'm having my Bronco ceramic coated. They're also doing the windshield, windows, grill and mirrors (other than glass). I have the High Package which includes 360 cameras.

My question, should I let them do the four cameras or should I tape them off?

Absolutely ceramic coat the cameras! It will make them easy to wash & help keep them clean as well.

$300 seems to be a bit expensive but consider that wheels tend to be one of the most challenging parts of a vehicle to clean since the brake dust and road grime get everywhere. A proper ceramic coating will allow you to simply hose (power wash) them clean with virtually no scrubbing and very little effort.

Assuming you wash your vehicle every other week, that’s 26 times a year. If the ceramic coating saves you 10 minutes of work for each wash that’s 260 minutes or over 4 hours/year. Ceramic coating can last up to 5 years so that’s over 20 hours over the lifetime of the coating. At an initial cost of $300, your 20 hours of time works out to be $15/hr which is less than minimum wage which makes the cost quite reasonable. YMMV
