I am debating pulling my Carbonized Gray fenders off, then sand them down and paint them flat black. Maybe a textured black. Don’t want spend a bunch but I think it will look good. Options and opinions are welcome.

You could try Plasti-Dip or some other peelable paint product, to try it out and see if you like the look? My neighbor used Plasti-Dip on his gray Mustang wheels, changed to black color for several months. Then he was able to peel it off and back to original gray without issue.

I agree with the Plasti-Dip comment. Easily reversible if you decide you don't like it, and could even potentially be a permanent solution should you like it.

If you haven't sanded down yet and interested in SAS fenders, would you be open to a trade?

My SAS flares, rears especially, got shallow pitting from off-road debris. I now drive with RokBlokz mudflaps, so things haven't gotten worse. The pitting is just a rough surface, you don't really notice it much.
I am interested in the sanding & painting you're suggesting Let me know what you do, how it goes. I might try that myself.
