I’ve been tracking my bronco from start to finish. It is now “constructively placed” at the rail yard in Nashville. How long have you guys had to wait for it to arrive at your dealer from that point? The bronco is in Nashville and my dealer is 3.5 hrs west of there. (Outside of Memphis).
I know it’s up to Ford to organize delivery from the rail yard to the dealer and if it sits more than 48 hrs, there are storage charges that accrue by the day.

There’s no way to track from this point except through my dealer correct? I don’t want to worry him nonstop.

I waited 2 weeks from the time it was off loaded from the railcar and put in the railyard holding area. It then made the 15 minute trip to the dealer very early one morning...salesperson wasn't aware it had been delivered until their PDI specialist let him know it was ready. But, this was back in August 2022...by now the whole delivery process has had to improve...I hope.

Congrats on the new ride btw..you're gonna love it.

IIRC, charges are accrued if it still on the Train Car. Constructively Placed means it has been removed from the train car and are been placed in the Ford area of the lot. It took mines about 2 weeks to be picked up and transported to the dealer. Dealer wont be much help. Both of mine were on the lot and my salesman had no idea. Theres a bunch of stuff that needs to happen before its released to the sales team. That process usually depends on your dealer. If your dealer is getting lots of vehicles everyday it can take a while.

Whats you vin I can possibly look it up!

Correct, no way to track it. Depends on getting it on a truck. Mine was in a week but I know others have waited longer.

That’s called “rail mountain”. It can be 6-8 months tops. (J/K)

Actually, it’s on a rail siding, the unloaders are backed up, your rail car is waiting its turn to be unloaded, it’s on a side rail outside the mainline and unload area. Mine was constructively placed for 2 days, then offloaded and on way to dealership a few days later.

You're close! It'll sit on the train until it's time to unload, then the status will change when it's time for it to be unloaded. After that, it'll be up to the convoy to get it to the dealership. Yay! Congratulations.

..... Constructively Placed means it has been removed from the train car and are been placed in the Ford area of the lot.
....
Not quite.
My understanding is that the (railroad) car has been disconnected from the locomotive. RR car is sitting somewhere waiting to be moved to the ramps for unloading.
Ford Bronco Constructively Placed 1705967091189

Mine sat in the damn rr car for 18 days before it got unloaded. This was at the Port of Wilmington, Delaware, June 2023.

If you can find the trucking company that is assigned to transport your truck from the rr yard to your dealer, try to create an account on their site so you can see their delivery schedule. Up here they use United Road.

You are mistaken if you think any entity involved in the shipment of your Bronco gives a fat frog's fanny when you receive your vehicle.

Not sure where that came from… I’m the only one who cares here. Thanks though

My understanding has always been that if it’s going to be moved by rail or by truck, that it will not arrive until they have a full load of vehicles to be moved to keep their freight costs down. So it’s anybody’s guess as to how long that will be.
