Yesterday was a dose of reality for the Irish. Beating Clemson without Trevor Lawrence and Mike Jones in OT doesn’t make the Irish one of the 4 best teams in the country. Bama will embarrass them and Clemson will curb stomp Ohio State.

Looks like Bama will curb stomp any of them including Clemson.

Why should Notre Dame get another shot at beating one of the top three after getting stomped (Clemson w/o Lawrence isn’t Clemson and it took ND two OTs anyway)? Why should A&M get another shot at Bama? Cincy should be in. They wouldn’t beat Bama but we’ve already seen A&M and ND lose to one of the top three.

Amen! Why have a dance if Cinderella can’t try on her slipper? Cincy deserved a shot, and don’t forget about the beach chickens in Conway, SC. They might have gotten massacred, but they earned that right.

And I don’t know that Bama will whip Clemson. I think Clemson is the only team that can beat Bama, and vice versa. They are both very good when they are firing on all cylinders.

These type of arguments have been going on since the CFP started. They need an 8 team playoff. Each power 5 champion gets an auto bid. The committee would be charged with seeding and selecting the 3 at large bids.

Those four teams in there are just a money and TV ratings grab. Bama and Clemson YES. Ohio State with 6 games and ND with an ass whoopin from Clemson NO. Pure money grab.

I think the way to get more rotation is only allowing conference champions, play in conference champions seeded in the major bowl games, and then select the best four winners for the playoffs. Sure you still get Bama, Clemson and Ohio State most years, but the rotation in the off years should start to even recruit flocking a little more.
