Front plate location wasn't working for me, just too much going on there. I'd just leave it off, but I work on a military installation and they feel as it's their job to ensure all vehicles are state inspected and have a front plate and Lisa wanted it so I had to come up with something.

I'm frugal and had no intention of paying $50 or more so I had to come up with something.

I used a piece of 1/4 x 2 x 13 AL flat bar.

Drilled three holes across the top to mate with the bumper bolts and then drilled and tapped two holes to attach the plate with. The plate is bolted to the mounting plate and is super secure.

Nope, on top of the bumper isn't an option:

AL plate drilled for bumper mounting and drilled and tapped for plate mounting:

5/16" bolts cut flush and ground smooth on the backside. I also put a rubber washer between the bumper bolt and the bumper, not needed but I had them laying around.

Could have just drilled two holes in the skid plate but this allowed me to use more tools.
