I ran across this article. This is the kind of top I want for the summer. Not a lot of hardware, more of a button on type. It mentions Bestop but I don't see anything on their website and the article doesn't really say much. Anyone have information on this?

Yeah , your probably right. I don’t like the look of the retractable soft top. Looks like a 70’s Volkswagen. I guess I’ll keep watching for something I like.

I would like this too in a simple button on/velcro, etc., without all the hardware and fold back functionality. Just to throw it on an snap it together.

Exactly. Nothing meant to be permanent, just to use when I need it and my hardtop is hanging from the rafters.

It could be sort of like a tonneau cover that folds and could utilize the front roof rack bolts. Put it up on the roof, unfold it, bolt the front and use velcro straps on the sides. Probably take 5-10 minutes.

I got the Bimini top with mine but ours still in the box as it’s winter. I hope there of not a bunch of hardware I have to mess with.

Do you mean the mesh? It should go on easily but I'm looking for some rain protection. If you have a soft canvas bimini top for the 2 door, I would like to know more.

Never opened the box have no clue what’s in there lol. It’s pretty light so if Bellevue it’s the mesh. It’s in a closet until it actually gets warm enough to think of taking off the top. I’ve had it flipped open and drove around when we got to 30*F. But want even thinking of trying to flex the plastic windows to drop it all the way.
Paperwork just says bikini top $419

I've got the 4dr version. Assuming it is basically the same, once you assemble it (which is no small task) it is on there and not something you will want to entirely remove for a Sunday drive. Not because of the time involved but because you are removing some hardware and things like the rear speakers need to removed and reinstalled. These parts that are not intended for daily removal. It would take in the neighborhood of 10-15 minutes to get off and probably 15-20 to put back on. Not bad but like I said not intended for casual removal.

A simple version of this, without the fold-back hardware, would be so much better than current canvas Biminis on the market. Thicker material, better coverage (no gaps around the top sides and windshield). A look like this, but easy on off, and the option of mesh Bimini underneath; someone would sell a ton of these.

At one point, there was a canas bimini, but it appears to have vanished from build and price as well as the accessories page.......
