Well, funny how things work out. I ended up soft top after I couldn't get the others, and so happy now! So I'll grab the garage bags and make them work for less money.

Did a search and pulled up so many threads that my eyes went crossed...

Do we know the difference between garage bags and on-board storage bags? I assume amount of padding or something? Which is better? And would you ever need both instead of just one?

Based on the instructional video ford posted on how to remove doors, it looks like the on-vehicle bags have loops on them to fasten them down and are also thinner. The garage bags specifically state they are not for on-vehicle, I suspect because of the lack or lopps and fasteners and possibly the thickness?

Garage bags are also vinyl. On-board are canvas.

Assuming one day they'll release a part number and they can be ordered over the parts counter.

Ha! Funny I didn’t see that discussed. Yes, you can add on-board for $350 WITH Black Diamond now. They caught on. Though, I just bought a set (without the straps - because I’ll never put them in the trunk anyhow) for $192 from Ruxer.
