I have to agree with the steps recommendation. I have the factory steps and they have done a good job of stopping dings. Will it stop tall trucks, etc? No, but it will stop 95% of dings without having to do something whacky or odd looking.
My hunch is usually the taller the truck the more the owner cares about it and are less likely to fling their door into you too.

I don't know if that's 100% accurate...

Bodyguard Bumpers rock sliders stick out 4" from the door. They are excellent sliders (bonus no door dings). I also have all metal fender flares from Amazon Oedro brand (around $200).

Well I noticed the nasty thing in my passenger door yesterday. Bronco's perfect other than that. I tried to heat gun and ice cold Air duster trick but it didn't work. We have to remember these are off road trucks not garage Queens anyways. A little character goes a long way. Just keep the shiny side up ; )

Oh and I do believe our doors are aluminum which makes them much more prone to dents, but the weight savings probably out outweighs that. By the way when I first got my Bronco I felt a little uncomfortable driving it it felt a little heavy almost like driving a small dump truck LOL but now the thing is growing on me to the point like it's driving my Miata I just keep growing more and more in love with it and I can't stress enough please get yourself a twisted shifters fallout 4 it is just so I hate to use the word sensual in the hand. And it definitely makes a difference in the way the vehicle shifts I cannot explain it but it shifts so much smoother and easier I'm telling you the truth I don't know why but I'm telling you the truth.

That's not good enough given the way people fling doors open. Maybe strap a whole mattress to each side of the Bronco? Might be enough... :explode:

Face it… many people are clueless. Then there’s others who are jealous/envious and want to purposely damage your property. Kind of what happens when paddling stops and timeouts become the norm …🤔😳

Sliders are one of best defenses to stopping many, not all, dings PLUS they ll give your rocker panels some gravel protection from the Goodyears 😂

This is EXACTLY the reason I bought Clamber running-boards/rock sliders for my 2Dr. I don't know how good they are for rock-sliders (they do seem to have an effective mount), but I bought them personally for three reasons:

1. They look pretty good.

2. Door ding protection... although a 4wd truck will still probably open above them... so you still have to be careful on parking. They do cover most of the area front-to-back though.

3. They hide the pinch-welds pretty well.

I bought the C3 2Door model. No dents so far.
