I'm looking for something to help reinstall my doors. Taking them off is fairly easy. Putting them back on is horrible 🤦‍♀️ I'm looking for something with a small footprint. I found this by Raezum Door Lifts (https://jeepdoorlifts.com/) but they say the Bronco version is under construction. So that has led me too look at the Steck EZ Rest via eBay. Any suggestions?

Putting them back on is just like taking them off...but in reverse. 😂

What is the difficulty you're having with putting them on?

Arm strength and wing span. They are too heavy for me to line up and hold. The precision needed for reinstall is nothing like the uninstall.

Do you use the alignment pin?

EZ 4x4 makes an alignment pin guide kit that might help you out.
Yep, have those and the bags. Love the bags for uninstall, storage, and the attempt at reinstall but really struggling with reinstall - lining up the top and bottom just isn't working. Also just bought windshield washer hose tubing to use instead of the stupid 2 pieces of 4" door edge protector for the reinstall too.

Even with the bigger doors on the 2 door I don't have a problem, but maybe it's an arm strength issue. I just stand on the inside of the door, look down and set both hinges onto the pins. It's pretty easy for me. Are you standing on the outside of the door where you can't see the hinges?

I don't know how the bags would help with uninstall and reinstall. Just grab the doors where they say to and lift straight up to remove. To reinstall, use the guide pin, stand where you can see the hinges with your own eyes and slide the door back in place.
I've never used the rubber protection strips and I rarely even use the guide pins. They go back in place pretty easily.

There may be a variety of reasons why the doors are too heavy for a person, from body size to age to disability. The Bronco doors are much easier than the Jeep doors (I used to HATE putting those on).

I also prefer using the bags to lift and position them (helps protect them if I were to drop one or bump the side). However, if they are just too heavy, getting a second person or some jack lift-based tool may be your best choice. Maybe use some everyday options like a rolling single drawer office file, sofa ottoman, four wheel dolly with a foam block or rolling step stool. Something like this one could useful around the house as well, and it’s 20” tall (where my Badlands Sasquatch measures). https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/H-2251Y/Ladders/2-Step-Utility-Step-Ladder-Yellow

Target has these, but at 14”, you’ll need some additional padding on top: https://www.target.com/p/costway-ki...rm-330lbs-capacity-gray-backless/-/A-88224652

On a 2D - it's even worse!

I think this would absolutely work on 4D Broncos... for 2D it could be adjustable to make it a bit wider on the base to support a longer door, but this looks promising.

That Jeep door lift is $750..... I bet you could buy something like this, and just add 4 posts to the corners with pool noodles and do it for under $200.
