Huge favor to ask when you have time...can you measure and tell me is the total pod light opening 3×6 inches exactly? Just wondering if they have to be exactly 3x3 inch pods to fit. Diode and others are a bit larger. Thank you
The openings are about 7" x 2 15/16" ish. I did get a little deviation on the height depending on where I measured it, anything from a solid 2 15/16" to between 2 15/16" to almost 3".

Just unboxed the bumper tonight and it was super packed. the bumper itself was wtapped in a padded black wrapping you can see in the photos, then in wrapped in plastic with the rest of the box having sprayed in expanding foam. I didnt see any issues with the powdercoat , or any bad welds. I was going to mount the light bar and winch tonight, but i ran into an issue with the washers provided with my light bar being to small so i had to buy those before work. I will mount those to bumper before the game tomorrow, and install bumper monday.

got the winch and lightbar installed after the game tonight. i had to drill holes in the lightbar rail due to the supplied mounting brackets being about 1/2 inch longer than standard. ignore oily stains on bumper that is just goo gone overspray from cleaning residue left on the lightbar.

should have it mounted to bronco tomorrow night

I am also looking at getting this bumper. I do not have the proximity sensors on my Bronco. Does it come with plugs to fill those spots? Anyone know if there options to put LED lights maybe as some "rock lights" or amber marker lights?

the ACC relocation took longer than i thought last night. They dont give an extension for the re route, but instead have you unwrap the original wires for the extra length. unwrapping it is pretty much impossible with the fire resistant fabric the wires are loomed in so i had to slowly cut it open down to the portion i needed to extend. Apparently i wasnt cutting it slow enough and i stabbed the meat of my thumb with a razor blade.

after some quikclot, superglue, gauze and duct tape i finished unraveling the wire. I had my wife come out to install the bracket, and button back up the front end since my hand was hurting.

The only thing i had left to do was take out the parking sensors from the modular bumper and i did that this afternoon when i work up. Got that installed and wires routed in the new bumper so i'm now just waiting on neighbor to come home from work so he can help me hold it in place while my wife threads the bolts to the nut plate. We tried just the two of us earlier and its awkward to hold it in place while trying to thread nuts. especially since i have the winch on the bumper already so it weighs about 160-180 lbs.

i didnt see any plugs that came with the bumper unless i overlooked them, but i imagine you can order blanks on amazon

tldr; photos coming soon

Here is the measurement with the stock mod bumper adn front fascia taken off. so all in al about 60-80lbs lighter than stock. sitting at 6 1/8th

Ford Bronco DV8 Bumper Before Bumper

This is the after height with the bumper and winch on which is about 170ish pounds combined has it sitting at 5 5/8ths. so that gives about 1/2inch of droop.

Got 1 wing put on then decided on a dinner break. The wings were a PITA to put on since its a tight fit in there. i put my wife in the wheel well and that made things easier.

Finally for those who wanted a side pic. i'll upload another side pic tomorrow with the wings on, and just some better photos in the light.

I don't have any direct experience with this application, but this one is on my list of potential bumper purchases, too. Looking at the pics on their site, I wouldn't have any concerns with how the winch mounts. The mounting plate (bottom of the winch, not the front or back) is on a bent piece of steel that directly attaches to the frame. I assume that piece is 5mm, but even at 3.5mm I'd be confident in its strength. IMO that's about as solid as you can get for mounting a winch, and I daresay is beefier than the Warn plate i have on my JLUR which has never given me any trouble.

I think DV8 makes good stuff, though for me I think their currently available options block just a bit too much front camera visibility, based on the pics they have posted. I may be spoiled, but I use the front camera on my jeep all the time. A lot more often than I use my winch. in tight trees or any other situation where you may not have a spotter (or at least not a spotter you fully trust!), that front camera is golden. There are some bumper options out there that tuck the winch in a bit more than this one does and keep more of the trail visible on screen.
I too am looking at the FS-15, and think I have found the answer to the camera. JCR has a camera relocation kit that I will use in conjunction with the FS-15.

Can you tell me what is the overall length with your bronco with the bumper installed?

I installed the DV8 OE Plus FBBR-03 front bumper with the 3" pod lights on Thursday. Was a bit of a PITA and took about 3 times longer than the 1.5 hour installation time but it's an improvement over the plastic bumper. I think it's pretty good value for $899.99.

Your Bronco looks fantastic. Is it antimatter blue? I'm thinking of getting the DV8 oe plus series front bumper too, and the DV8 mto series rear bumper. It's interesting that you left the original factory tow hooks on. I gather they are right below the tow hooks on your new bumper? Is that the original factory plastic skid plate?

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. It is indeed AMB. The factory tow hooks are under the bumper, you really don't have a lot of choice because getting those off is quite a chore and the skid plate is the factory plate. If I had kept the Bronco I probably would have replaced the skid plate and replaced the rear bumper with a DV8 as well. I was very please with the bumper. I sold the AMB OBX when I got my CO BL.

I think I will go with the DV8 front and rear bumpers, after the holidays. I'm thinking of swapping out the skid plate, but after looking at how good the original one looks on your old AMB, I may not. I'm tempted to do it all myself, but wiring the light pods makes me nervous.

I did it all myself, wasn't really bad...well almost all myself, my wife would get mad if I didn't mention her help lifting the bumper into place. :)
