So if I go to E rated tires what’s that do to the factory TPMS system? Swapping them onto a stock OBX.
Just wondering what that does since you don’t get E rated tires from factory.
TIA

Nothing will change. Sensors will still work as they should.

Nothing changes. The TPMS only alert if you go low pressure, not high.

I'll be going E-rated as well (like I do in all trucks/suvs) and am not concerned about it. Cooper makes one C-rated 265/75R16 that looks tempting, otherwise there are so few C rate choices that E-rated is really your only option if you don't want a soft mini-van tire.

I switched from factory 32 inch C rated on steelies, to Method 302 with BFG K02s E rated (now 33 inch). At the time of the switch, I purchased 5 new TPMS sensors and installed in the new Method wheels.

All worked without a glitch, the Bronco quickly learned the new codes without any inputs or reading of the codes.

Then, at 8000 miles I rotated tires with the 5th spare included, and voila, same thing happened - absolutely no issue. The Bronco can differentiate the spare and not include it in the readings.

The TPMS display simply shows the current pressures, regardless of C or E rating. I don't even know what the low pressure warning level is, but when I get that offroading, will just have to press "OK" a few times, but I would have had to do that with the regular C rated 32 inchers also.........................
