Not sure if it was a parking lot casualty or a dog’s toenails or what. Noticed it today

Well, it's easy that you can remove the fender flare, tell the shop to re-spray it whenever possible and then put it back.

That sucks man. Could ask a shop to repaint it. If you just noticed it and can live with it though, it'd save you some money.

If you wanted to save some money, you could check and see if they make touch up paint for it. Won't be perfect like a respray, but it will look a lot better .

Your dog rides on the fender flare? Cool, I hope you got him some goggles.

Edit: H7 is not carb grey sorry! I bought some at autozone different paint name but same code and matches well. Won’t be perfect but will hide the black. H7 is my wife’s Hot pepper red 🤦. I don’t remember the carb grey but they do have it at autozone under a different name. If I find my touch up pen I’ll get the right code.

Get it retouched professionally for not too much money or do it yourself, spend far less but have at best decent results.

The cheapest quickest method is a touch up pen, but it won't fix the deep scratches, just mask the black plastic showing through.

After that, you're looking at bondo/primer of some type to fill it in level and then touch up paint with a spray gun/can.

I believe the pro guys would fill the scratches in and repaint the entire piece for uniformity.
