So you had driven 16K 2 yrs and all of a sudden this shows up? Where'd the coolant go? Sounds like you didn't add a lot, yet it sent it in to limp mode? @Ducati1098 or other Ford guys have input?

Hard to say without having the vehicle to look at or knowing the codes it set, but unless it happens again I wouldn't worry about it I guess.
Normally if the coolant level is low enough to cause an overheating DTC or condition, then there is likely a leak. Even being 3/4" below the minimum shouldn't have set a DTC or overheated.
That amount of coolant doesn't just evaporate in 2 years, so I would just keep an eye on it.
