Everglades NOT available??

Help me out B6 family….im about to change my BD build to an Everglades. My build options basically penciled out to an Everglades.

The dealer says they are not taking orders for Everglades now. Telling me I can buy the ‘23 Everglades off their lot today.

Has anyone recently ordered an Everglades?

Well that's interesting....as it was asked, does the on lot Everglades have everything you want? The Everglades come with just about every option as it is, I guess it would come down to colour...

Or you can go to another dealer and find out is it truth or dealer BS.

The eg shows on the 24 build and price and no where have I seen anything about not being available. Sounds like a dealer trying to unload stock to me.

The latest scheduling thread notes that the HE can't be ordered but says nothing about the EG.

However, as far as the dealer and the misinformation in question, I am more inclined to attribute it to stupidity rather than malice.

As others mentioned, it may just be an uninformed dealer, like mine.

The week of Thanksgiving I went to the dealer to test drive a 2.7 and the 2.3. During the drive I mentioned that I was interested in comparing the two since the model I was interested in was only available with the 2.3, and I wanted to know if I would regret the 2.3.

He looked at me funny and asked which model that was. When I told him the Everglades he said they couldn’t order that as it was a special run only for the people that had issues early on. I told him he was wrong and he needed to look it up…which he did on his phone while we were driving. Still not satisfied, he went to his manager and him to come over and verify to me that it was NOT able to be ordered. Which his manager did. I laughed at him and told him he was wrong and to go check the order bank. He went and checked and came back shocked and apologized.

I left because I still wanted to run the numbers between the Everglades and a similarly equipped wrangler (that’s another story - but $17k more for the Jeep).

On December first I went back to the dealer to put in my order. My sales guy was busy so another guy I had talked to came to get my order. We sat down and I told him I wanted to order the Everglades. He looked at me and said they couldn’t. I said “yes you can, go ask your manager.” Well he did, and it turns out they have two managers at the dealer. This manager was not the same one and came over and apologized, saying they couldn’t order it because they had been a special run…yAda, yada, yada. I laughed at him and told him to go check the order bank. He did, but didn’t believe it and called five people up the chain of command all the way to headquarters to tell them there was an error that showed the Everglades as available. (Seriously, he called Detroit!).

When he came back he said “well they said it was correct but I don’t think it will go through” He put in my order with the dual tops and tow hooks and, to his amazement, the system took it like I said it would. I gave him my deposit, we signed the little printout contract (dealer priority code 03!) and I left. By the time I got to my house (10 minute drive) In had my order acceptance email from Ford.

I have my VIN and a scheduled production date of February 08 2024.

So, yeah, I would double check with your dealer and another just to be sure.

The Everglades on lot is a 23 at $66k. Does not include the slide out tailgate. The 24 has the slide out tail gate.

My BD build came to 58k, I pretty much optioned a BD to an Everglades without a snorkel or winch. The Everglades msrp is $58k. So for the same cost as my BD ordrr I pick up winch, snorkel, trail turn assist, and slide out tailgate.

Here’s the next curveball to my situation, but more of a red herring.. A different dealer down the road has a 24 Everglades at MSRP….posted on their site as available however the window sticker indicates it is a special order. The vin says the blend date is 1/12. Still waiting for that dealer to sell it to me instead.

Thank you for that story. I felt like I was getting last years reasons for why I couldn’t order an Everglades. Because they did stop taking Everglades orders in 23. The same guy was also telling me they could add the slide out gate at the dealer if I want it.

I’ll go back tomorrow and talk to them again.. I think the issue for me is my BD order is going to get scheduled/vin this week or next. Better get in there tomorrow.

I plan on adding the slide out tailgate to my 24. I ordered the dual tops so that made it unavailable to order for me.

Mud flaps and the slide out tailgate are getting done as soon as I can. I’ll be ordering the stuff as soon as I get the shipping date.

I believe Ford said only 3% of capacity would be planned for Everglades so theirs a chance they may have already taken all they can for 24. You might ask another dealer, but if they want msrp for that Everglades, I'd consider it.

I added an Everglades order in November after realizing it was only $1.5K more than the BB I had on order and I got all the add ons. It was accepted at that time and is scheduled to be built next month while my BB order hasn't been scheduled yet.

As others said they are only doing a small amount of them and seems all the orders placed last year are scheduled, so they may not be planning anymore..... Or the dealer is misinformed.

I got my 2023 Everglades a couple of months ago after ordering it back in 2022 took close to 12 months but i love it!

I have been wondering if the storage drawer could be added on with the slide out tailgate.

Was there anything unusual about mounting them together?

That's a customer order. Blue sticker is dealer-ordered.

The actual price and availability of any Bronco is unknown until you contact the dealer.

I just abandoned my 23 Everglades order at a MSRP dealer... but I think I hooked up another potential buyer with the dealer so it might be sold.
