We were far from the center of the storm this time. Hope everyone faired well.

I didn't want to be that guy whose boat pulled up the community docks again so I had to make a late night visit to it. This vehicle has been through Ian also šŸ˜¢.

Drove in yesterday from Texas to Pensacola, nothing but perfect weather. Not so much 100 miles to the east however.

Ford Bronco Everyone okay in Florida? Brushed
Barely affected Orlando... but friends in Tampa and New Port Richley had flooding issues from the surge.

It was a fast moving storm with less rain than Debby.

Iā€™m over between Daytona and st Augustine. They were forecasting between 3 and 6ā€ of rain here, but we might have got 1ā€ and 50mph sustained winds for a few hours. Not complaining, Perry got hit hard.

Georgia and South Carolina were a hot mess also guys. Didnā€™t flood where I am and the worst was East of us, but it was a rough night. By yesterday afternoon, the sun was shining and there was just a cool breeze. Interesting how that occurs following all of that destruction.

Remember that now over 50 who lost their lives due to this storm. Our stuff and Broncos are precious to us, but avoiding the worst is a blessing.

I'm about 5 miles East of the bay. We had some pretty stout winds and rain but all in all did fine. Friends and relatives that were just a few miles West of me lost everything! A buddy of mine with an auto shop was in the evacuation zone so I went over the morning before the storm hit and helped him ferry vehicles and equipment to higher ground. 12 hours later he sent me pics of the water hitting the doorknobs of his shop building. Two of my daughters both live in South Carolina and they are both still without power and one is near a creek that has overflowed and is threatening her house. This is going to take a long time to recover.

Depends on your definition of OK.
Lots of property damage, the immediate coastal areas from Ft Myers to St Marks took the brunt with St Petersburg to Crystal River getting a foot or more of seawater up on the barrier islands that dot the coast. My brother lives between Indian Rocks and Clearwater Beach, he had 8-10ā€ inches of standing water in his house. Beachfront properties were obliterated. Hereā€™s some video from Refdington Beach just north of St Pete Beach

Prayers for all impacted

Also, when you have a moment, take a look at Asheville and all of West NC. The level of devastation is biblical.

I presume you meant devastation.

I was planning on part of my week+ of vacation to include Cherokee. Tomorrow, I have to see if the place I reserved is intact as they are right on the Oconaluftee river. With I40 being shut down due to the eastboound lanes being washed away, the only way to get across GSMNP is via 441 and that is still closed. I had planned on running Hurricane Creek, but I'm not even sure if it is there anymore.

Yes, just corrected it. Thank you. Dang spell checker!

I would think itā€™s a no go man. The Biltmore Village was like 8ft underwater and thatā€™s a well built area sort of on a hill. Everywhere else is like a war zone. Will be weeks to clear those roads and people are needing to be evacuated by chopper from mountain communities.

Coastal SC here, power came up yesterday night and Internet a couple of hours ago. We weren't expecting anything but wind and rain but here's what I woke up to Friday morning ...
