Thanks, She’s scheduled & going in tomorrowSomething about it says "Fix Me"
Those readings are input to the PCM for multiple functions as far as I can tell.
Now do I know if the engines are equipped with cam phasers? Got me, but all that input
is destined for some function one way or another.

Yeah, apart from possible engine function, it'll mess up your HVAC as well. My messed up sensor wants to turn the AC on in auto mode when it's -20 outside!! Anything other than HI temp blows cold air. Thanks, She’s scheduled & going in tomorrow
Morning. To get looked at…
Thank you kindly for the feedback. Yes it’s cold, the day it went check engine was -4deg Fahrenheit. Or -20 Celsius (I think math is hard)Yeah, apart from possible engine function, it'll mess up your HVAC as well. My messed up sensor wants to turn the AC on in auto mode when it's -20 outside!! Let us know what they find.
I assume you're getting the same cold temps in Michigan that were getting here in Ontario.
The sensor seems to malfunction in extreme cold.
Mine acted up Friday night... -25CThank you kindly for the feedback. Yes it’s cold, the day it went check engine was -4deg Fahrenheit. Or -20 Celsius (I think math is hard)
Do you plan on taking it in for service? Or rocking her as is?Mine acted up Friday night... -25C
By the time I got home from work, it said it was a balmy 40 degrees out!
Wasn't as inaccurate today, but still went into the +'s
It'll thaw out by Tuesday... See what it does then.
But since I picked it up, it always been off 2 or 3 degrees.
Interesting, I did have a driver side mirror crack without contact, (supplier issue)is the sensor in passenger or driver side? I haven’t taken off my mirrors. I did unplug battery to clear it before I knew what it was via ford app alert. It’s 20deg outside and it’s reading 65-70deg Fahrenheit.I had the same service light come on. Did you by chance remove your side view mirrors? There is ambient sensors behind the mirrors and mine thru a code after reassembling the side view mirrors. I flashed the code and it never came back
Im not sure which side they are on.Interesting, I did have a driver side mirror crack without contact, (supplier issue)is the sensor in passenger or driver side? I haven’t taken off my mirrors. Drivers side on the F-150... Likely the same hereIm not sure which side they are on.
Probably gonna phone the dealer today... It was acting up again yesterday.Do you plan on taking it in for service? Or rocking her as is?
I haven't had a service light with mine... And the ambient temps moves around. Started at -9 yesterday and crept up to 16 degreesI had the same service light come on. Update, took her in to dealer, they said exactly what was shown on app, its ambient temp sensor failure. None is stock so they ordered and will replace complete driver side mirror. Does not effect engine, was stated.Probably gonna phone the dealer today... It was acting up again yesterday.
When I got in to it after remote starting, the AC was on. Likely not good for the compressor!
