It’s certainly a good idea. Let’s hope it includes torque specs for the stud, since it would become more or less permanent and bypasses the built in clicking that indicates a loose bolt. I would also hope that the tool kit sockets fit.

thanks, from my understanding the clicking noise is isolated to the top bolt. I did ask the owner about tightening the nut that goes on top of his bolt unit and he did not say anything about torque specs, just to tighten it down. Not sure if it is the same size socket as in the bronco tool kit, but that is not a big deal as I have already added numerous T and socket attachments to my tool kit for the Bestop Sunrider and other mods i've done. They leave plenty of room in that tool kit pouch for other attachments.

Funny, I have that exact brand in my cart saved on Amazon. Also no reviews there either. It is $20 more expensive however lol

I ordered these and just installed them last week when I had the doors off. First time I removed the doors so can't say if the studs works any better than the little cone stud provided in the kit but obviously saves time not having to reuse the single cone stud over and over again. The nut that goes over the stud is the same 13mm socket size that you use for the top and bottom bolt. They didn't provide any torque specs so I just hand tightened the stud and installed the doors. Works pretty well. My only concern is if the stud backs out when you loosen the nut for the next time around. Haven't taken the doors off since I installed them so will see.

yeah that is my concern. Just seems like this product is not really broadcast out on the market and no one is making something similar. Someone also mentioned that the alignment stud should be longer. The ford one is super short- if you raise it a bit to align the top you could pull it off the bottom. Why didn't they make it bigger. This aftermarket one is not much longer. What about the nut that goes on top, you didn't hand tighten that, did you?

Let us know about these. I have had them in my amazon cart for two months waiting on some type of review.

No I used a power rachet to tighten the nut and top bolt. Using a power rachet really speeds up the process for removing the doors. I never used the Ford alignment pin so can't really compare but I didn't have any trouble with the bottom hinge coming off the stud when installing the doors. Worked the first time on all 4 doors. May be more of an issue with the two door models because the doors are longer and a bit heavier.

After using the Ford provided pins a few times and finding they were more trouble than they’re worth, I‘ve learned to align them by eye and easily drop them on the hinge. Every now and then, usually when I’m tired, I’ll struggle a bit. About every third time or so, I’ll get the snapping noise in a few days which indicates a loose hinge bolt. Properly tightening things is where I need to improve.

If anyone is till watching this thread, it def makes things easier. Get the bottom latched on, and just worry about the top. Once that's done, the door will hang there on it's own, and you can go grab your tool and hardware without worrying that it'll come loose. Makes attaching the 2 door super easy, even more so if you have the door bags.

Ironically, I just put my doors back on (by myself as usual) and thought there had to be a better way; so thanks for your reply and bringing this to others attention. Question though, I also have tube doors so if I go between the two door types I will have to remove the bolts vs permanently leaving them bolted on the Bronco. But if they still help with alignment, I am thinking they are still worth putting back on when removing the tube doors and adding the regular doors back. Do you have tube doors too and do the same?
