Fabbing Rear Bumper - Got Q's

I'm going to be building a rear bumper and wanting to move my rear camera to the bumper. Are there any relocation kits that move the camera to the bumper? I haven't come across one yet.

Has anyone dealt with the rear camera wires? I'm assuming I'm going to need an extension harness but what would I need?

Any help before I tear into it would be greatly appreciated, that way I could have the stuff on order and hopefully have it before I start.

I took the tailgate off my F350 so I could use a truck camper, still wanted the backup camera. Found one online that plugged in to same wires ford uses. Don't remember the name of the site but it was easy to do and didn't break the bank. The camera would mount in a hole in your bumper with some two sided tape

I have spliced extension wires on mine for the TOR spare carrier. Wasn't an issue at all - just four small gauge wires, used solder and heat shrink. You could do butt splices but on that small of a gauge (probably #18 if I had to guess) you may have issues with just size.

Now, that was like, a 8" extension? If you tried to go several feet, I don't know if it would have issues or not.

There are 2 different types of connectors though, I think they switched between '22 and '23. The older harness looked easier to work with

The Westin XTS rear Bumper comes with A rear camera extension to move it to their bumper.. Maybe give them a call and see if they sale the cable by itself.
