Ford Bronco Fabtech Tie Rod Heim Kit - Group SALE fts22349-beauty

As an upgrade to the factory Bronco tie rods, Fabtech offers a heavy duty replacement system that provides increased strength for oversized tires and aggressive offroad use.
The Fabtech kit replaces the entire Bronco tie rod assembly. From the inner joint that attaches to the steering rack all the way out to the steering knuckle. This is not an add on tie rod kit like others. It’s the proper way to upgrade your Bronco’s steering.
The inner clevis is constructed with 17-4 heat treated stainless steel and mates to a 3/4" ID PTFE lined FK heim for unsurpassed strength. There is a nitrile spec boot that seals the rack to the billet adjusting sleeve to keep it clean inside for trouble free operation.
The machined billet adjusting sleeve is larger than the factory section providing outstanding strength for those hard core offroad trips. The clear anodized coating of the adjusting sleeves accents the factory aluminum lower control arms for a high end suspension appearance.
The factory Bronco outer tie rod is replaced by 3/4" ID PTFE lined FK heim as well and attaches to the steering knuckle with 17-4 heat treated stainless steel tapered pins. The taper is the same as the factory tie rod so there is no drilling of the knuckle required for installation and can be put back to stock if required.
This high quality Fabtech Tie Rod kit has been extensively tested in the most rugged offroad conditions. It is the pinnacle of steering upgrades for the discerning Bronco owner.
Features
  • 3/4" ID PTFE Lined FK Heim ends
  • 17-4 Heat treated stainless steel clevises and tapered pins
  • Billet aluminum adjusting sleeves with wrench flats for easy adjustments
  • Nitrile rubber spec dust boot to protect steering rack

What is labor to install these? Is this DIY or something you'd want a shop to do?

Thanks!

Other than the heft what is the value in these? R&D has been done by independents and ford. Is the metal sourced in the US? Is it manufactured in-house?

They look great but damn at that $$$ you could almost go full hydro.

@Doetsch Off-Road you have a lot of novices here, you might want to explain the differences and pros/cons to running heims vs factory ball joints.

If you don't install a heavy duty rack with them....the weak point becomes the rack.
I was wondering about the same thing...this kit looks amazing, but I'd rather replace a snapped OEM tie-rod then the entire rack. Hmm....
