If anyone has actually been through the recall, any feedback would be appreciated. My gut tells me that Ford thought the earlier repair for the recall was sufficient but they have now determined it wasn't. Ford has a history of similar amateur moves like this (Focus RS headgasket comes to mind, where they kept updating the repair every few months because it was never quite right even after multiple revisions).
I’m not sure what you mean by “earlier repair for the recall”

The recall is advanced notice, meaning nobody can or has had it done yet.

Actually there are people in this thread and elsewhere reporting that they have already had the fender flare recall work done.

Someone having it repaired by replacing the clips, and it being done under the recall are not the same thing

The recall cannot be performed by any dealership because it is not out yet. The picture I posted literally says “a remedy is planned to launch September 7th”

Interesting. So do we know how Ford is revising the flare mounting?

Not until they release the full bulletin.

I’d guess they will replace the clips with different ones that have much better retention. But as of now, parts are not available.

Ok great, thank you. When I first got my BRaptor a few months ago, the flares did feel super loose fitting to me and then when one got knocked off at the carwash, that really made me question them. Then the recall notice made me realize I wasn't completely crazy after all.
