Anyone want to buy a cyber orange 4 door First Edition? It'll be in on the 10th! I mean the 13th! Oh wait now its the 17th! Darn it, now the 20th allegedly.. I am kidding on the sale of course but now the ship/arrival date has changed 4 times in one week!! At this rate I'll be lucky to see it by Christmas..:rolleyes:
Count yourself lucky, mine won't be in until after the new year.

I suppose you're right. My biggest frustration is the inaccurate information. Built on, shipped on, should receive on.. Every one has been wrong or changed. I feel ya though and best of luck to you!

Has anyone here who's FE came with a front license plate successfully remove it? If so, how do you go about it? Can't figure out how to remove the screws. Hoping they are not rivets.

Hate to say it but I’m pretty sure they’re plastic Rivets. Look up BumperPlugs.com and see if they offer your color. They are paint matched plugs that hide the hole. Had them on my Explorer ST.

Got a pic? I made sure my salesman knew to leave the plastic on the seats and do not install the license plate.

Mine is still on Dirt Mountain. Looking like it’s going to be a late November/early December delivery. It would be great if I could get it before WI deer season.

Maybe paint batches? Mines a RR also, 10/25
Hey rgwinn, My son was driving home from work today (10/15) and saw a RR 4 door Bronco with a hard top on a transport traveling South on I5. That's the same model/color I have on order - I called Canby Ford and they are not expecting my delivery until next week. Maybe my son saw your Bronco? If so, Cheers!

Not mine, yet, there is another Oregon owner that does have a rapid red too, I think Eugene
Mine is supposed to be built the week of 10/25 :geek:

Is it threaded in through the back? Looks like a nutsert to me, not a rivet.
They just drill screws straight into the plastic. I was at a dealership and cringed when I watched them do it on the new Bronco's arriving.

Drilled what, though? That picture looks like a nut of some sort. If that’s a screw, I don’t see how they could drive it in with a drill.

I watched them use a drill to put a screw straight in through the license plate mount and the painted front body piece of the Bronco. I think they put a plastic cap over the screw head and you're looking at the plastic cap.

As soon as I got my shipping notification I immediately contacted my dealer to request that they please do not install the front license plate bracket after hearing they drill holes into the body of the Bronco itself.

what is shown in that photo is a plastic rivet.

They would have to drill a hole first and then install the plastic rivet with a special rivet gun (typically hand operated)

some Ford cars require plastic rivets, some you just run screws into the bumper. Bronco does not to my knowledge require plastic rivets so this installer was being “extra” unless mod bumper is different. I believe there are 2 different brackets depending onwhich bumper you have.
