I am looking at a left over new 2024 Badlands Lux, Sasquatch, 7spd, and MIC hard top. Dealer is pretty eager to move it so I have some pretty significant discounts on it. I am ready to make a deal on it, but in reading I keep seeing that the 2025+ has significant improvements in noise reduction in the cabin.

I'm just looking for some feedback on whether it is worth paying $18k more (CDN) for a new 2026 similarly equipped Bronco with the painted hard top instead of the 2024 MIC. While I do prefer the new cluster as well, that is not worth the cost to me. Is the 2024 MIC hardtop that bad?

From what I've read the 2024 is a good year with the steering upgrades and the modular bumper included as part of the package as well as the small changes to the interior.

Thanks.

In 2025 they also upgraded the engine to DI and Port injection, relocated the alternator a bit higher and did away with the vac assist brakes.

I say save the 18,000 dollars, like you said, all those changes and updates do not come out to being worth 18,000 dollars.

When I started shopping for a 2.3 Bronco Badlands a couple months ago could have got a new 2024 with a big discount. But after reading about the changes I only wanted 2025. Ended up finding a new 2025 on the lot and still got a decent discount. So for me I would only go 2025 or newer. Spent enough years dealing with carbon buildup on my Audi's

Vac-assist brake delete also on '2.7s for 2025?

It's a personal decision, but no way (IMO) are the 25/26 models $18K better than a 24.

I did the same thing, leased a heavily discounted new '24. No regrets at all. 🤠

Last December I looked at Jeeps, 2024 Broncos, and what was coming with the new 2025 Broncos.

I knew I did not want a Jeep or 2024.
Decision was influenced by this way of looking at things.

Still happy with it.

News Flash: new car prices go up every year!

At this point, a MY24 vehicle is 2 years old. Doesn't matter if you will be the first owner or not, for valuation purposes it is more similar to a used car than new. That's why there's deep discounts. It's a lead weight around the neck of the dealer.

In 5 years, that MY24 will be 7 years old. A fresh MY26 will only be 5. That's what $18k (cad) buys you.

Is it worth it?
Only you can answer that.

Make your list of priorities and balance that against your budget. But try not to fall into the paralysis by analysis trap. When you find something you like, and you can afford it...buy it. You'll feel some remorse for a few days, thinking maybe you could have gotten a better deal, or maybe should have got that extra feature. That's normal because the 'thrill of the hunt' is over.

Go enjoy your new ride!

Since you are getting a BL's with a manual transmission the $9000(can) Sasquatch package, gets you about $500-600 worth of upgrades. Down here, the Sas tire/wheel take-offs sell for $1200 (US), vs the BL's which go for $900). Tires/rims, fender flares, and a half inch of lift.........

2.7 didn't have vac assist to begin with, electric assist since '21

Absolutely take the 18K discount that's a lot for upgrades haha. The new prices are ridiculous though you can probably get 8K off a "25 now which only leaves 10K for upgrades.

That 2.3 is a proven engine just get them to do catch cans and a Ford Performance tune and definitely get the B&C brace it eliminates a lot creaks and groans rattles etc.

It should have the top insulator panels with those packages if not add on.

I see new soft tops for sale in Canada for $2K +/-.. Sound system upgrade $6K.

I got my NOS 2023 OBX 2.7 LUX B&O with AT $16K off in August....I would have pair more just for AT and the brown fabric interior....im into it for CAD 8K in upgrades like extra winter wheels, PPF & body armor, sound deadening and sound system, Badlands non sas take offs and more sound upgrades on the way.
