Finally able to make it to an off-road event with the Tri-State Bronco crew. Had a fun day (although definitely some pucker moments especially for an absolute noob off-road like me) The Raptor is ridiculously capable but the Mahwah trail at Stagg Hill Rd is seriously pushing the limits for width in many spots. Link to more pics but here's a few to start - I will say you can't appreciate the steepness of that rock road and how narrow it was in some places just from the pics. ( @Bschurr , @FallenHazzard )

Good times @Johnny Mo - glad you were able to attend and have fun!

Now comes hours of cleaning all that mud out of all the nooks & crannies!

Well done! Have not been up there (except for MTB riding). Eager to do some wheeling up there. Do you guys have any links to the trails / maps up there?

That's not even funny - I can't even tell you how many times I was thinking to myself (and even said out loud to Sav) OK where's the exit, I've seen enough. LOL Definitely had me clenched for some of those downhill rocky passes - some I didn't think were even wide enough for regular width Bronocs.

I was trying to show you the best line and call out obstacles and best practices but I admit, I am not a really good role model. I am more of a “do as I say, not as I do” guy! 🤣

You did a great job helping me! Except for maybe that one detour you took - lol. Drove out of there with maybe a pinstripe or two but otherwise unscathed. Got some cleaning to do, just need it to warm up about 10 more degrees so I don't turn my driveway into an ice rink.

OP, as you do more and more off roading, obstacles will become less and less intimidating. And the same for your passenger (wife). You‘ll become competent choosing your own line and using throttle and brakes properly. As I told my adult grandson, it‘s all about technique and subtlety. Never “send it”. Slow and steady.

My first trip to Moab had me on edge most of the time. One year later on the second trip, I was much more comfortable in my ablility and and that of my badlands. Did Steelbender and Poison Spider Trails. Both were great fun.

The Raptor is wider and that requires extra care. You will find areas that you’re just too big for. I scrape my fender flares and beauty rings every Moab trip. I just pull them off and repaint. Good as new. Not that easy on a raptor.

Keep after it.

This was a great trek - my first time with the group as well (green black diamond with three amber lights on grille).

I noticed in many of your cabin photos the front locker is on. Did you have it engaged most of the time?
