There might be many threads talking about fog light, and I'm getting confused so I will start a new thread. I live in Washington State and would like to get a fog light installed on my 2023 Bronco Badlands. I noticed the Washington regulation stated that you are not allowed to have more than two fog lights on your vehicle, but those three lights kit looks nice. Are there any recommendations for fog lights that I can install and legally use?

Get SAE legal ones and have them properly adjusted to stay legal.

If you have the modular bumper, Baja Designs does the SAE Pro pocket lights that work very well. I have the Yellow SAE (Road Legal) pair and 2 offroad pairs with the kit. I really like them. I also have the bigger XL set for the top of the bumper, but that's a whole different conversation from what you're looking for.

From my understanding here in Minnesota when they say 2 lights it’s one on the left and one on the right. You can easily get a 3 light set up on each side but just use one on road…it’ll just use up more aux switches. I have the Mabett Raptor style ones which have two on each side that will always light up. I figure I’ll wait till I get pulled over to make a change.

Talk to a law enforcement officer who actually knows the laws. Your local station or department may have a traffic enforcement specialist. Perhaps a call to a local police academy is best, "Is there an instructor who specializes in motor vehicle law I can talk to?" Unfortunately, many street cops don't know what are considered minor laws like this. State troopers are usually more knowledgeable. "Some cop told me..." is not a strong defense.

Ordinarily, cops won't or can't enforce vehicle law on out-of-state registrations, so you want to conform to your home state.

As a rule, you want amber under your headlights, and white at that level and above. Also, check out Heretic, which you can get at 10% discount on thebronconation store. I splurged on both: white ("diffused") and amber. I like white for fog, amber for heavy rain and snow.

Lighting and Broncos is what we specialize in.

Your state may require you to have no more then 4 forward facing lights on at any given time, which is why our kits put each pair of lights on it's own switch.

Some states won't even let you have lights uncovered, so our kits work with optional covers so you can state legal (take the covers off for off-road use).

But our kits allow you to select SAE (street legal) lights.

The Diode Dynamics kits are the most popular. Our kits are paired with our own KR Off-Road brackets (made out of stainless steel here in the USA). Our Flush Mount kit is the most popular

Again we let you select what lights you want. Most folks go with 1 pair of white SAE fog, 1 pair of Yellow SAE fog and the last pair is usually a Combo (for off-road use). As I said, we offer optional covers if you need to cover them up.

Another kit we offer is with our non-flush brackets, which allow you to run larger lights in a more open style/agressive look

For kits like this, will it take 3 auxiliary switches?

I have their kit and purchased Baja Designs Fog array from 4x4TruckLEDs.com and my ARB Twin Compressor from them as well; stand up guys. I’m not endorsed by them either, although I should be! :ROFLMAO:

I have the 3 fogs on individual switches and A Pillar lights on another, then my compressor. 1 switch (The 30) remains open for a winch if I ever get one.

The lights are off road use only, but my Amber Squadrons are SAE, so I can run them on the street legally.

I love Baja, but others such as Rigid or Dioid Dynamics and KC are quality lights as well, just comes down to preference.

4x4 can advise you on a good matching array depending on where you plan to use the lights off-road so you have a good spread. There are a ton of configurations, so trust their suggestions or DM one of us for our types of lights if you‘d like.

Good luck!

I got Baja's - 2 sae (legal) and one off road driving each side. I use AUX switches to turn on/off each pair. easy peasy. Illinois can only run 2 additional lights. Rock solid. https://www.4x4truckleds.com/baja-d...ckets-for-2021-ford-bronco-hd-modular-bumper/ 4x4truckleds provides a new harness that is marked, plug and play and only have to make the simple connections at the AUX wiring. Very simple. Highly recommend
