Man it has been way too long! My last little outing got canceled (by me) due to weather.
We've also been staying very busy with the house. So there has not been a whole lot of free time.
So our dirt back yard has been the most dirt the Bronco has seen in MONTHS!
I do know we are going to Tennessee next summer for a dance competition for my daughters, so have been looking up some things to do in the area.
If anyone from Tennessee is reading this....I'd love to hear some options! We will be in Gatlinburg.
So I've already plotted Hurricane Creek and Parsons Branch road...

honestly had a few more inches before catastrophe…but still pretty intense watching the water rise not knowing when it would stop.

Not much to report other than today being the 2 year anniversary of taking delivery.
No major issues and about to hit 34,000 miles.

Still not much to report. Finally hit the 36k mile mark so I’m ready for stuff to start breaking lol. But hopefully not. Car has been totally fine so far. Did just take the first rock to the windshield after 2 years of owning it. But it’s small enough I’m not doing anything about it. But its annoying that it is right in the drivers line of sight.
In other news, the Bronco got a new stable mate about a month ago.
After 10 faithful years of service, I finally got rid of my old Golf in favor of a new one.

Had some Ford points that were about to expire so I picked up this off the website.
Don't know if it will ever come in handy or no but hey, it was "free"!

No news is good news I guess. I have a nice little camping trip planned for the end of the year so I'm looking forward to getting back out and hit some trails while I'm at it. I believe it has been well over a year at this point.
Picked up a new stable mate a few months ago. And If I can trust it, I may take it instead!

Slow year for the Bronco with the arrival of the Range Rover.
But I was able to get out for a little excursion for the first time in forever!
It was supposed to be a weekend camping trip but plans changed and could only make it out for the day.
I ALMOST took the Rover, but it made the decision for me when it decided not to start. I guess being the Christmas tree delivery vehicle the day before was all it could handle!
Anyway, drove to the woods to eat lunch.

Sad post is sad.
As much as we loved the Bronco, it no longer suited us for what we needed/wanted in a family hauler.
My wife has always had a soft spot for Land Rovers and has always like the new Defenders.
There was no way I was buying a new one, and she wanted some pretty specific things so it made it sort of difficult to find the right one.
But one popped up that checked most of the boxes and the rest is history.
The Bronco will truly be missed. I have had a lot of cars come and go - some that even meant a great deal to me.
And this one was a tough one, I won't lie. I will really miss it.
But nevertheless - its replacement is still quite capable - and the first order of business will be to throw a slightly knobbier tire on it so I can still get back out there in the woods.
