Why can't they give you one of the overpriced FE's that are trading between dealers for MSRP adn screw the last dealer holding it?

It's not like the FE's were all reserved by regular customers.

Welp, after all this waiting... no First Edition for me.

Just got a call from my dealership saying they got a call from Ford today stating that my vehicle was declared a total loss at the factory.

"Something happened between the day it was built and today, where your vehicle was declared a total loss".

They said they cannot give me another first edition, but can have a 22 built for me right away, or a Raptor for MSRP.

VIN doesn't even show up in the system anymore.

Can you wait? If so, tell Ford you want the next special edition (Heritage?) at invoice. Giving you a vehicle at full retail price without a markup is hardly saying sorry.

I have a buddy who's dad worked at the Thunderbird plant in the late 80's. One of the guys driving cars off the line totalled a brand new car by hitting a light pole in the parking lot. Supervisor found it later. Nobody knew anything about it.

This is just me, but Raptor at MSRP is perfect. I feel as though, having mine just delivered last month, I had the rug pulled from under me with the Raptor announcement. Haha
If you’re up for it, get the Raptor and I’ll trade you. I’ll even get your input for wheels and tires, as I’m doing lift kit as well. Let me know, haha

Take the Raptor at MSRP and sell it. Find another FE. Even if you have to pay an ADM you will probably will still end up with a nice chunk of change in your pocket.

During a launch the plant launch director took a preproduction unit to buckhead (Atlanta bar hotspot before developers bought it all and ruined it) for a night of drinking. He woke up the next day and didn’t know where his car was. No one ever found the car. He did not get fired.

That’s not terrible when you compare it to the first edition price, but I think both are overpriced.

However, if the OP was willing to drop $63k on a FE I think $68k for the raptor is a no brainer.

If I was the OP I’d try to negotiate the raptor down in price. They f’d up a build that you’ve been waiting a year+ for and they’re acting like they’re doing you a favor by not discounting a raptor LOL!
