Welp, after all this waiting... no First Edition for me.

Just got a call from my dealership saying they got a call from Ford today stating that my vehicle was declared a total loss at the factory.

"Something happened between the day it was built and today, where your vehicle was declared a total loss".

They said they cannot give me another first edition, but can have a 22 built for me right away, or a Raptor for MSRP.

VIN doesn't even show up in the system anymore.

Does anyone have a running count on how many Broncos Ford has written off between the paint shop and the dealership? Anecdotally, I can remember hearing story tell of at least seven off the top of my head... This is ridiculous.

Can you wait? If so, tell Ford you want the next special edition (Heritage?) at invoice. Giving you a vehicle at full retail price without a markup is hardly saying sorry.

Getting a Raptor in your name at MSRP is a fat consolation prize for deleting your FE in my opinion. If what "my dealer said" to me is at all true about only getting 1 Raptor allocation for the entirety of 2022 as a very large dealer, then I'd happily take the Raptor over the FE if I were you.

Sorry to hear. But it’s a blessing. You’ll be only person outside of dealership people with Raptor without ADM Do it!!! Then find a fix for the flares.

If you go the Raptor route make sure you get something in writing from the dealership saying it's for MSRP with no ADM when you place the order not just Ford. Remember, the dealership sets the final sales price, not Ford.
