Maybe not him, but if production gets whacked and my day two, none-of-the-deadly-sins, still haven't gotten my email, comfortably inside my dealer's allocation reservation gets pushed back, those 3000 trucks that a bunch of whiny dealers insisted they still be able to play favorites with, matter a whole lot more.Since you invoked my name…
I’m not too proud to admit that I might be missing something. I’ve certainly been wrong before. If you could answer a couple questions I may be able to better understand where you’re coming from.
Prior to the announcement of priority builds, what was your estimated delivery window?
Since the announcement of priority ordering being thing, what is your new estimated delivery window?
Yeah, read it again, still too much beer. Ordering enough isn't about "just ordering more". Reading comprehension ftw. That’s exactly what you said...
but hey i wouldn’t know anything, I’m not as smart as you...sport. I’ll just drink my beermaybe you need more beers

Not likely as they would still have to make assumptions on how many would convert, not like they couldnt, but again, this is all presumptuous of the fact that we are even going to see this specifically impact the Bronco itself, which isnt truly known but speculated as far as I have read anywhere. It is my guess that if they were anywhere near the predictions on reservation conversions, which likely they were, then if there is a good part bin sharing with their other models and those shortages, it is likely they would scavenge at least some of those components to keep some of those other model segments more closely on track as long as they stand to profit more on those models, which they may.I can't keep up with the verbose tomes here about the Great Chip Argument, so I'm not sure the timeline, but maybe Ford could have had an idea how many to order based on, I don't know, RESERVATIONS FOR BRONCOS that started July 13, 2020. Twas my assumption, at that time, that Ford was taking reservations in large part to get an idea of ... how many Broncos to produce.
I Don't believe everything I read. But the chip shortage is real. Don't hold your breath, on Bronco not being affected by the chip shortage. And I read broncos are not one of the vehicles being cut.
Ford would have to redesign the vehicle without semiconductors. They'd have to replace the proximity key, push button start with a key switch ingnition. Design and procure analog gauges to replace the displays / gauges. Find new head and tail lights to replace the LED lights. The list goes on. Talk about delays. Redesigning and procuring the necessary replacement parts would take longer than waiting for the damn chips.I’ll take my Bronco without all of that semiconductor chip stuff. Who needs a nanny yelling at me telling me to stay in my lane anyways? The Broncos back in the day didn’t have it. Why do we need it now?
Get'em Zack!Since you invoked my name…

Cause I made a $1,000 on Ford stock in the last year. Not entirely sure why someone would want to buy Ford stock but I suppose it makes sense if you just want to own it to say you have a stake in the company or you're buying such a high volume that if it moves up to $20 you can sell and make a healthy profit. At $0.15/dividend you can find much more attractive options out there. Unless you have the capital buy a ton, I would stick to funds - at least that's what I do.
I know car companies are doing quite well right now b/c of the chip shortage creating low supply/high-demand so people are willing to pay MSRP or more; but eventually supply will run decrease to the point that high prices are outweighed by a decrease in the volume of sales. At $12.50/share I'd rather put my money into a faco dinner with margaritas.![]()
Complete builds, with no chips. Such a shame.Anyone got some extra chips?

100 shares will get ya the XPlan... not available for theIt hasn't and won't. It has stagnated for the past few weeks. I think Ford is undervalued, but when you look at it historical performance, it is a dog. If someone wants to invest, then go for it. But don't expect new found riches.
