FordPass App - Activation Question

Hey folks,

So my Bronco's blend date was today, and I noticed now my FordPass app on my phone prompts me to activate it for my vehicle.

Just curious if anyone has activated theirs before it arrived? Did it cause any issues?

Ah crap. I thought I'd be able to activate it, then mess with people at MAP by locking the doors

I guess I'll have to find another way to pass my time as I wait... *sigh*

There was one guy on here who activated it as someone at MAP accepted his prompt in the vehicle and he could see it on the map. I tried but my requests always timed out.

That would be the ultimate "tracking" method for your Bronco's delivery!

1. you have to be IN your vehicle to accept and complete the activation
2. Pressing the button early caused me some minor inconvenience. I pressed activate months ago as soon as I got my VIN. When my vehicle arrived last week my app said “follow the onscreen instructions” to complete. Problem was there weren’t any instructions on the screen. Ended up having to call Ford then remove my vehicle from the app and then start over to get it to work. No big deal, but a hassle and ended up delaying the process. Cannot recommend. There is no benefit. Be patient and wait.

Mine was just activated today. I can see that it is at MAP and has 48 miles on the odometer. Should I do a remote start? LOL

Yep, that’s the airbag recall. You would think it could be fixed there, but other people with that recall have had to wait for their dealer to fix it once it arrived.

I clicked activate yesterday. Nothing happened until a couple of minutes ago. Someone at the dealer must have clicked yes on the screen. It says 29 miles on the ODO. It also shows me on the map where my Bronco is.

I accidentally hit "activate" on mine the other day. It's "pending" too. Hopefully someone accepts it soon so I can track it better, lol.

I tried to activate it early but they told me later when I picked it up that the "transport mode" disables all that stuff until they take it out of that mode and run it through tech/inspection.
The dealer helped me activate and setup all my app stuff tho so that was nice.
