Hello,
I have a few questions before i attempt Forscan for the first time. I swapped all 4" speakers for Kickers and use the "driver" setting in the occupancy audio setting. This drastically helps in my opinion. Though i don't see it mentioned much. I know with the Forscan eq removal you also lose the occupancy modes as it is tied to the eq system.

I'm wondering if anyone has compared the driver occupancy eq setting and removing the eq system in forscan to unlock the frequency cutoff to the rears?

Also as this would be my first attempt with forscan, do i need to backup all the modules or just the one I plan to change? Asking because there's a ton of them. I plan to only make audio modifications.

Last question is there's been a lot of back and forth about changing the type of speaker in forscan (speaker + tweeter, Speaker+tweeter+sub, etc). Some have said its acutally changing the ohms to those speakers? Some were saying it made no difference to the sound and others said it made a big difference??

I basically want to do the best i can for the speaker swap and utilizing the built in sub and amp. I do think the driver occupancy mode sounds significantly better than all passengers and certainly dont want to mess things up in forscan on a wild goose chase.

To answer a few of these

I haven't compared No EQ to Driver. I would be interested to hear your take on it though. I suspect with an external amplifier, No EQ would be better, but if you are just doing a speaker swap, it could be a toss up.

Technically, you only ~need~ to back up modules you are making a change to. That said, sometimes it's easy to forget, and having a single backup copy of all the modules from how your truck was originally is a ~really~ good idea. It just takes about 5 minutes once you get into a rhythm.

I don't think the speaker setting changes the amp output Ohms at all. I think it changes the default EQ programming, and what the ACM looks for before it would set one of the "bad speaker" DTCs.

On my 2023 BB after doing a similar swap with infinities at all 4 corners I used "speaker + tweeter + subwoofer" I believe. Before the swap, I don't think I ever heard the factory subwoofer and afterwards I had to turn the bass way down. "Speaker + tweeter" definitely makes sense as that's what the infinities (and I suspect your kickers also) have unlike the stock speakers I pulled out which were 1 way.

Bet once you get it tweaked you will be really happy. My wife comments that she loves driving the Bronco and that the stereo sounds far superior to her stock Honda CRV with one option upgrade.

Did you only do the speaker type change in forscan or also turn off the eq? I’m kind of curious if I update the speaker type, but still leave it on driver listening position (eq still enabled) if that would fill out the sound more.?or if eq off is just always better.

Another thing that has been confusing is whether the sub is tied to the driver side or passenger side rear speaker when you make the change in forscan (speaker+tweeter+sub). I have seen both so I’m not sure which is correct.

I don't recall doing anything with the equalizer in reviewing the Forscan options although I may of put in 00 in 727-01-02 for Flat EQ as indicated in the spreadsheet. Also in reviewing the Forscan options for the Rear Pod and Subwoofer control are grouped into the same hex character... So in looking at those options for the nibbles indicated in ACM 727-01-01 I believe I programmed them as - xx2B-2Axx-xxxx. Also one other thing I do remember is that after being done programming the stereo setup the seat belt reminder was WAY too loud (obviously went thru the stereo). I disabled both driver and passenger in IPC 720-01-01 with xxxx-xx0x-xx--. I pointed this out to my wife yesterday when we were in the Bronco and she was suitably impressed ;)
