Hey y'all, 2022 Bronco Wildtrak 4-door with the B&O system and Lux package.
First of all, I don't want to hear about any other amplifiers or A2B interfaces haha - I've already got this stuff and will be using it. I am aware of the mObridge system for rich people (this is a joke about how expensive that system is, not a dig at people who have it
), and I know Kicker has their own thing that plugs right in, etc. No need to point out how good those systems are or that I should use them instead.
With that out of the way, a rundown of my setup. I already have this equipment from my setup in my old vehicle, which I kept when it got totaled by a drunk driver (big sad). I tapped into the factory stereo using a LOC, which obviously you can't do with the A2B B&O system. I would have opted for the 6 speaker system if I could, but I needed a used vehicle fast when my old one got totaled and couldn't be so picky, haha.
I'm gonna be upgrading my sound system using equipment I kept from my old car that got totaled. I will have a full-range component setup in both the front and the rear (specifically two sets of the Skar SPX-65C) driven by a 4-channel amp (SKv2-100.4AB). I've also got a Rockford Fosgate R2-500X1, which will drive a Kicker Comp-R 10" woofer in its own box. I'll likely just remove the existing subwoofer enclosure behind the panel to make a good spot for my two amps, especially since the Skar amp is a big boy. I'm going to interface into the existing stereo using the PAC AmpPro AP4-FD31 Amplifier Interface, which I finally just saved up enough to purchase. For the rear speakers, I'm gonna put the 6.5" component speakers in SSV pods, which I'll load with sound deadening. I'll put the rear component tweeters likely in the overhead bar in front of the pods (but I'm going to experiment with a few locations before deciding where to drill holes lol).
Now for my FORscan question. I've heard people talk about making changes in FORscan for the audio, but I've done so many searches in Google, Facebook groups, and on both this and the Bronco Nation forums, and I can't for the life of me find specific info about what people are changing - only "I made the changes in FORscan" and stuff like that. Is there anything I'll even need to do in FORscan with the PAC AmpPro AP4-FD31 or does anyone know if that just outputs full-range flat EQ signals to the front and rear channels without any FORscan changes needed?
Thanks in advance for any help everyone!
