I haven't seen anything about Ford doing a recall. I think we should encourage people here on the forum to submit these to the NTSB to put pressure on Ford to make it a recall. There was a similar push with the windshield wiper motors that finally got a recall. I personally think this is potentially a lot more dangerous than the windshield wiper issue also.
I didnt say Ford was issuing a recall, only that Ford isnt the only automaker having fuel pump problems. A failed fuel pump is dangerous for sure, especialy if it seizes while driving.

The tank has to be dropped at least partially or at an angle to access the pump. I’m wondering if vehicles having the failures are run very low on fuel regularly since it acts as a coolant for the submerged(partially) pump.

I haven't checked yet, but assuming the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank like many modern FI vehicles? Anyone know how easy to get at, especially for a trail repair?
Drop the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump. Easy peasy!

Hardest part for trail repair fuel pump is removing fuel from tank first. Need a lot of containers.

I'm can't fathom a 2022 with only 8500 miles. Maybe the Bronco is protesting its lack of use - LOL.

There is no windshield wiper recall on the Bronco, unless that changed. The reprogram is a "customer satisfaction". On my F-150 there is a recall to change the wiper arms because the motor is too powerfull.

I received a notice on mine for the windshield wiper motor and I took it in for that. Maybe it wasn't an official recall but the letter looked very similar to the one for seatbelts. I'm not exactly sure what they did, but they did that and the seatbelt slider at the same time.

First On Race Days is my favorite - sorry about your recent luck on your Bronco, but it will be up and running in no time.

My 2023 Bronco Outer Banks with 1700 miles on it, a month old, literally made one payment and needed a new catalytic converter. Lost power while driving, died on the side of the road. Brand new car - Ford has a lot of explaining to do, rushing these cars out of production and putting us all at risk!

The recall is 23B35. It is for the Bronco windshield wipers software update to the motor itself at least here in America. In Europe its a full replacement of the motor. Here in the states this recall takes like 20 mintues with disassembly/reassembly and code clearing

Customer Satisfaction program. Program ends December 31, 2024. Not a recall. (just looks suspiciously like one)

I work for a dealership and we still consider it a recall as the dealer bulletin states that “This service must be performed on all affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner” . So it’s honestly a case of semantics.
