Hi all,

question for anyone that has upgraded their standard spring rate Fox’s to the HD spring. Did you adjust the original pre load setting when you did the swap? I want to add about 2 - 2 1/2 inches of lift over the stock rear height.

I just installed my Fox’s this week, I got the full 3 1/2 inches of lift in the front, like many others I got basically zero lift in the rear. I don’t have what I would consider a “heavy” Bronco, 2Dr Sasquatch, no aftermarket bumper or RTT, still just have the OE Goodyear tire hanging on the back. I will be swapping to 37’s soon so I decided to bite the bullet and just address the springs now rather than add preload to the ones that came on them. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I haven't installed mine yet, but I did max the preload on the original ones initially.

A note about the fronts. might be worth letting them settle for some time, I lowered the preload on the fronts slightly (and I mean slightly, 2 spins of the collar) and I'm now sitting on 1 and a quarter in lift, so I'll be adding more preload to the front when I add the HD springs to the rear. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info on the fronts! They’ve settled some after I drove it around the block yesterday, they’re right at 3 3/4 inches over stock now but they were like 5 😳

right, what I'm saying is they might settle more, because I had 3in as well initially 😀
