I don't understand the importance of it? They never pull you over from the front and at night they can't see it anyway?
I was driving behind a cop in Lake Tahoe, CA at night. The cop either had a rear camera or just good eye sight b/c he pulled me over and gave me a fix it ticket for not having the front plate on my Mustang ☹

My dealer did not install the plates on the front. They didn't to want to put holes in the mounting area for the plate holder. I did not like the way it sticks up into the grill area when mounted as Ford set it up. I fabricated my own mounting bracket that attaches to bolts already in the modular bumper. The plate hangs down from there but not so much as to create a big problem with approach angle. I still use the factory plate holder and it is easy to remove if I need to.

NJ is a 2 plate state and it gives them an excuse to pull you over so it makes sense to run the front plate. I have the DV8 with the modular front bumper. My plate got a little rounded off when I took the bumper off to remove the shutters for the intercooler install.

I got a ticket when I was lazy to install a relocation bracket that moved the plate from center over the modular bumper to above the bumper on the right side to allow unlimited fog light use.

You get two plates and there are tons of options to relocate it. Asked my dealer to forgo the front plate installation to prevent having holes in the front fascia. Those complaining just don't want to put the slight cost and small effort to install and avoid a ticket.

I just hate the way they look. Especially on a sports car. I won’t complain if I get a ticket but I have friends that haven’t had one for years. Cops don’t seem to enforce that anymore here…tint too. Never got stopped for that either. I have a vanity plate…I’ll just say someone stole the front one I guess?

I’m in NY, and on my 2nd 6G Bronco. My front plate is under my front passenger floor mat, just as nature intended. Appointments for front door window tint is forthcoming. 🤠

My 70 BMW 2800CS has not had a front plate for the 45 years I have owned it. I agree, it looks terrible on it. I do carry it in my trunk and if I get ticket for not having it mounted, I would just explain the mounting bracket broke and they are hard to find. Most of that is true except car did not have a front bracket when I bought it. I did eventually find a mounting bracket but it is in storage.

I don't mind the plate on the front of my Bronco and Ranger.

I've been pulled over for no front plate on one of my old trucks and I had the plate on the dash in the windshield. I got pulled over for no inspection sticker on a truck I had just bought and I was on my way to the inspection station. I had the pink ticket in the windshield where you're supposed to put it. I got pulled over in front of my house for an expired inspection sticker but I had the pink slip for the extension sitting in the windshield. Somehow they can see expired stickers, no sticker, missing plate but can never see the pink slip that sits in the windshield like it's supposed to. I've never gotten a ticket but why even give them a reason to pull you over?

I know..I’ll accept a ticket if I get it. I know I’m tempting it. No weed weapons or drunk driving so I’m not worried.
