I emailed 1552 about the Overland Concept Traverse Wheels. They emailed me back and said they are: 17x8.5 6x139.7 ET0.

OK...I get what you are saying. So if I went with my "plan"...basically the tire will be a little more outward by 2 inches per side. If I also then put on the Squatch fender flares....I would be legal on tread coverage. Do you see any mechanical issue in doing this? It would be easier if others made 55 Offset wheels....very few that I and others have found.
Thanks for your math and the links!!!!
I'm not certain you ever posted which tire and size you are going to use. Nevermind , I see it now.
My gut feeling is 33's will not be an issue on Base, BB, BD or OBX.
BUT, nobody knows yet for certain.

I really want to know if I can squeeze 33.8" in there without a lift. I know that's a stretch. 285/75-17

ElMystico and I are both looking at Wheels ranging between +30 and +55 offset.
I think I have entertained a few +20 wheels also.
I also look at around 5.75" to 6.5" backspace
I tend to limit my searches to no wider than 8.5" wheels. I don't like the wheel edges too close to the outside of the sidewall, would rather they are sucked in a bit for more protection.

I see that the stock wheels on the Bronco are 55 offset. I have a base Bronco on order and want to put on 33” tires with the Fuel d557 wheel with a 6 offset. It should push the tires out about 2”. Does anyone think this would work ok?

If you aren't getting Sasquatch, you may have an issue with the all-important "crash bars". But don't even think about removing them because you will IMMEDIATELY DIE and your passengers will too if you don't have them. (Even though Sasquatch doesn't come with them.)

That higher offset effectively increases the radius arc of what the tire will contact at full-lock.

Are those back-space numbers accurate and confirmed or a guess? If you change the off set and wheel size...does backspace still apply ? (I ask because the wheel calculator I used above did not utilize the backspace figure at all).
I guess I am too confused at the moment. This calculator using my data/choices....shows 1.38" further out

I appreciate your opinions and data. Thanks!!!

Offset and backspacing can be confusing until it makes sense. My jeep Mojave is +37 and rim choices are limited to whatever the manufacturer chooses. I feel like all the Jeep ones are super aggressive but I suppose it depends on where the wheel sits relative to each vehicle. I ended up getting -18 black rhinos because they’re what I really wanted even though I would have preferred them in a +12. I searched for rims in that offset and there wasn’t much unfortunately.
