Those bumpers look great! I'm not sold on the winch mount yet, it looks kind of cheesy. Would have to see it up close.

Seems like for 37/38s that it might be wiser for me to order a badlands since a regear would be necessary anyway. Anything else id be missing out on?

I like this build a lot. As they mentioned it really is the sweet spot of off-road/on-road performance. Bumpers look great and I really like that they aren't spammed with obnoxious branding.

I did find the one flaw with the build.

Awesome video.

When it is time to replace my stock badlands shocks (figure 45-60k miles at max) I am looking into a 2-3in lift. I think something like this or maybe Braptor spec stuff maybe but that upper arm allowing more drop.

Not sure I would ever need 37's but holding off until that time as my long term plan is this will become another toy and 33's for daily use makes sense and 35-37's make a lot of sense for toy duty.

I am just glad that really a 2-3in lift with larger tires steps up the performance even more.

Bronco checks all the boxes. Can do anything a Jeep can, but with smoother ride... except park on another Bronco's tire, still easy decision.

You are stating the obvious. No one off roads their rig with oem tires.

Just before the 40 minute mark is why you put real tires on for off-road. The sidewall on the Goodyear Territory would have been destroyed .

New video of Loren Healy’s Bronco running the Rubicon at the Jeepers Jamboree. 2” lift & 37s:

That was by far the best video of a Bronco off roading.

Nice to finally see one on a trail that is more than a dirt road with some occasional rocks and required both the vehicle and driver to be put to the test. Loren and the Bronco crushed it.

The modifications they made to the front IFS looked to make a huge difference. The additional droop is significant compared to the stock setup.

Those poor lower rear shock mounts. They are the red headed step child of the underbody.
:ROFLMAO:

False. People do off road with stock tires. I know I did when I bought my first 4x4. Did I upgrade later? Yes, but I had to try out off roading first before I decided to invest money in modifying my vehicle.

I love that rear bumper. It actually matches the body lines better than the stock bumper I think, and without the cheesy aftermarket look I see on a lot of off roaders.

Props to Funhaver. That’s amazing what they did.

A few things:
  • CV angles look pretty gnarly sitting there. Time will tell.
  • Axle gearing? I’m guessing they dropped some deeper gears in there.
  • Stock components in the axles? They did some pretty good stuff for 37’s they looked plenty aired down. Now the undercut, tire hopping and full-lock reverse was at a minimum. Selectable lockers will go a long way in saving the drive components

It’s… complicated.

But my sense is if you intend to go 37/38, the cheapest path would be to buy and start with a Base and only pay for the upgrades once… including the regear.

…only caveat would be things like sway bar disconnect or package level forcing you to go up trim.
