Has anyone purchased this gas cap lock on Amazon?

I purchased it and when I fill up my gas tank, it stops over a few seconds, and I can’t fill up my tank.

According to the reviews, several Bronco’s installed it with no issues. Could be the nozzle that’s used at my local Costco Gas station versus other gas stations? I tried pumping regularly and holding the pump in with varied pressure and no luck. Only 1 Bronco review had an issue vs all others.

As mentioned on another recent thread, I didn't go with that style of cap because it required installing a coller, with concerns about getting in the way and require breaking if wanting to remove. Maybe yours is interfering with a particular pump style in terms of depth or back pressure.

The locking cap linked below doesn't require any permanent coller install and has worked well for me. Note, it's not meant to keep a determined person with a crowbar out, rather it protects from mischief makers. (Also some here have taken issue that it's 3D printed and apparently not pretty enough.)

I don't know why you would bother. Thieves now just drill a hole into your fuel tank and pull it out from there. It's not worth their time to try and defeat the anti-siphoning measures that are already built into the stock piping.

Personally, I just want to prevent mischief makers and vandals from contaminating the fuel tank. Thieves are a different story.
