When I fist started driving, gas was $0.23 a gallon and we averaged under 10 MPG and didn't care. Hell, taxes alone are 8 times that now is some states.#metoo, I remember reading many years ago about people complaining that all the cars looked the same. There was a comment something to the effect of how many different shapes of an airplane wing do you see?
Point being for fuel economy there is really only one shape to get through the air to provide the least resistance and that's why all cars really do pretty much look the same. Chalk it up to fuel economy standards!
