You bought into the propaganda I get it !
I've owned every generation of Bronco so Ford didn't have to use propaganda to sell me. All they had to do was NOT make it a stupid car, like a 4-Runner or new Chevy Blazer or Bronco Sport.

They made a worthy Early Bronco throw-back that is a direct competitor to a Wrangler.

Its a very cool car, and a very good looking car, practically speaking I am not sure yet where it lies, its somewhere inbetween OK and below average for city driving, its hard to get in and out of the car, and its hard to use the factory step, it feels very nice once you are in though.
Practically speaking - the Bronco sucks! I mean it you could assign negative or lose points for practicality I would think the Bronco would be in the red.

The Bronco is a compromised vehicle. All vehicles are trade offs and a balance of what is important to the owner of said vehicle.

The Bronco has amazing off-road capability - in some trims better than a Wrangler. It has the top down, doors off fun factor. It has the retro cool looks, and it pushes the envelope on off-road capable vehicles technologies and capabilities.

The Bronco legitimately comprises EVERY other aspect of driving a vehicle.

It still floors me how surprised people are by the rawness of driving a Bronco (especially with a soft top). Buy a severely compromised, task specific, vehicle and try to make it a daily driver....of course you will be disappointed.

The 4Runner sounds like it's more up your alley long term.

I stand corrected
My wife tells me even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Along the vein of what you are saying though - I think having heated seats standard in the Bronco would have been a really nice nod touch for the owners and a 1 up over jeep and cost maybe an extra $75 per vehicle.

Kind of like I can't stand how leather wrapped steering wheels are not standard across all cars. A car manufacturer could spend $50 more and vastly improve the feel of the component a driver touches exponentially more than any other surface in the vehicle - and they do not.

I’m selling my 2017 4Runner for this Bronco, which I’ve waited for since having a Bronco in the mid-80’s. 4Runners are simple, great, and boring. Like a dependable, decent looking, church going spouse. A little league assistant coach dad. Nothing wrong with a 4Runner.

Bronco is that hot, kinda crazy chick. Worth it? That’s for you to decide.
Unlike my wife who would kill me if I gave the hot crazy chick a go - I can ride the hot crazy chick until I can't take it anymore and then sell it to some unknowing bastard who isn't sick of her shit yet.

From Sunny Southern CA, we are hoping to learn more about the bronco from this forum, our dealer was OK, had a lot of problems at first but they did pull through the guy we had issues with I think was fired ! Anyway we have an outerbanks Sasquach its for my wife until my Wildtrak gets built, overall we really like the car; I mean its no Toyota 4Runner which is where we both came from, the refinement and finesse and just overall practicality of the 4runner is amazing its a car that just works ! The Bronco is a cool car its convertible but its definitely got a host of first gen issues which we knew getting into it, and just some really stupid American car crap that really has no better way than explaining it but the term "really ? Ford did that ?" I mean come on ... from wiring harness issues to overall fit and finish ... its just no Toyota ... My appreciation of Toyota has gone up in volumes since getting one for the first time 5 years ago, the best news however is that I got exactly what I paid for my 4 runner 5 years ago so I made out like a bandit, AND, my Bronco is probably worth like 15 K over what I paid how could I go wrong ! We have had the car about a month now, so I'll post more impressions on the other threads.

Im assuming you will be canceling your Wildtrak, unless you’ve also fallen for the propaganda.

Why would you buy a Ford? Toyota is nice, boring, practical. Stick with it if that’s your preference. I ama Ford fanboy for sure, but I know what I am getting into 😃(I have family that works for Toyota, no problem with them, can get employee pricing, just not into anything they have built recently). Enjoy your Bronco and maybe you will become a convert?

Go big, or go home Nick. Is it bad that I want Beth to spank me for being a bad boy? :)
She'd get carried away and smash your head with an 8 pound ash tray lol

Congratulation Sina. Comparing a Bronco to a 4Runner is like comparing an Impala to a Corvette. They are very different vehicles that should stand alone. Just enjoy the Bronco for what it is, and stop comparing it to the 4 Runner or you'll never be happy. Just enjoy the ride.

Well they may at times feel cheap, I agree, but they are super refined cars, like everything works, some of the styling is extremely dated, when I first looked at a 4runner it looked dated even in 2016, then I bought one, its not cheap at all its super nice. I'll give you an example, take a look at the leather wrapped steering wheel of a 4runner vs the leather wrap on a Bronco, Ouch, yuck ewww ! That's grosss ! Toyota has amazing leather, the Cheap crap american version on the ford is some supplier they found that sold some dumb guy on the other side of a screen a version of cheap leather ! I like the bronco but it aint all that there are things about it I would run away from like the crooked bumper they put on my car !
I don’t believe Toyota does any of the leather on it’s vehicles. They all come basically the same from the factory and the distributors add many of the packages and trim (not the case with Lexus). It’s not bad, it’s just not Toyota and not the same, even by region. My son took a family members brand new Lexus SUV a spin over Christmas (F Sport, 350). Came back and said, really nice car, seems like the technology is from the 90s. I bet it’s super nice at 150k miles too, just not interesting.
