I want to have my grill coated with Line-X or equivalent. I think it is best I remove the grill to get it coated. Is there anything I should be aware of before I start tearing things apart to remove it? I have not looked at it very hard yet to get an idea of how difficult it is to remove. I have not bought a Ford service manual yet but I am pretty good at doing this kind of stuff after working on my vehicles for the past 60+ years. My Bronco is a 2024 Badlands if that makes any difference.

Lots of videos on YouTube.

if you have the front grille camera, there’s also a electrical connection and washer fluid connection. Below video does address those connections:

I was hoping it would be easy. Thanks all for the information. The video was very helpful too. I don't have the camera so it is even easier.

Now, I just need to find a good shop to do the coating.

Make sure they don't screw up the fitment. Line-X is thick, so I would make sure they are competent enough to mention that without you having to say it first.

Yeah maybe look into some thinner coating options. I like this stuff, subtle texture and not too thick.

I can have them mask where fitment will be an issue. Thank you for mentioning that. I will make note of any place that a thick coating can be a problem. I am sure they can tailor the thickness for the application too.

I have 22 years experience with the durability of Line-X and would like to use it if possible. Rhino liner would probably be OK too but it is not quite as hard as Line-X. I have already talked with a Line-X applicator and they seem confident that they can apply a smoother texture that would be closer to the bumper texture.
