Hard top dilemma

Stupid question probably stupid answer..
Is it better to wait for the ford hard tops to become available or just trade in my soft top?
And no, after market tops arent feasible with USA to CAN conversion + freight

I don't think a factory hardtop kit will be available anytime soon. So if you gotta have one see if you can find someone selling one off or yes, trade yours in.

I've read that some will buy a used HT Bronco, swap the tops over, or install a Bestop on it and then sell it off and not lose too much on the deal.

Not sure what the final cost would be after all that trouble.

If the OEM top wasn’t a complete gamble that might be worth it to me. Imaging doing all that and you get a top that delaminates or cracks and now it’s not covered under warranty

I am in the minority here but after driving a Wrangler soft top for 7 years and driving a BL SAS soft top for a weekend I would never, ever get another vehicle with a soft top on my life. So... my $.02 is to wait for the hard top for as long as it takes. None of the 3rd parties are delivering hard tops at the moment so it is not like you have options.
