Height of Hood with Struts installed

Would some kind soul who has the hood struts measure how much higher they make the hood ? I guess what I'm asking is would i be able to reach high enough to close it without grabbing the hood from the side. It's non-SAS and no lift kit. I open the hood every day for work and would love to install the struts. However, not sure if i could reach it. Im 5' 8". Thanks....

5’10” I just put the IAG struts on last Sunday, you should have no problem. Word of advice, after installing, when opening the hood, keep your hand on it. Don’t let the hood fly open.

Howdy. If it is an issue, use a small strap to reach up and pull down on until you can grip the hood.

i'm 5'8" with a SAS Badlands. no issues closing the hood after the strut installation. (although my arms might be longer than yours)

I have the Ford Performance hood struts. From the hook on the latch to the loop under the hood is 37.5 inches.

I will contribute and say you should be able to reach the locking latch to pull down. I have MRT struts and also an ADV hood.

I cannot comment on the reach any better because I am 6-41/2

I have the 23 wildtrak and installed the redline tuning quicklift plus (non max system) and at 5' 7" no issue reaching up and closing the hood.

I am 5’10” with the FP Struts on SAS Badlands and it is up there but I can reach it. Redline makes the Ford performance ones so if concerned, like mentioned above, get the standard lift ones and not max lift ones from Redline and you will have no issues.

I have the Redline max lift. I am 5'7". I have NO problem reaching the hood. I love them and would recommend them any day!
BD, no lift, no squatch. Even with lift and tires, I should be able to reach it.

I have the Redline Maxlift struts because I want the hood as much outta my way as possible. That looks to be about 7' 3-4" measuring straight to the ground. I can reach it (I'm 6' 3") but if you're 5-7" shorter, it'll probably be tough. You can get the non-maxlift ones, and/or do the strap pull down, and should be fine.
