Touché. Only lived in Central and Shore my whole life (East Brunswick, Colts Neck and Eatontown), so I've never heard of East vs West 'til now
East and West Jersey goes way back to colonial times, when the state which wasn't actually a state because the US didn't exist yet, had two different leaders which eventually came together into one state. That's a very abbreviated history lesson, but you can read more online if you're interested.
Well, it snows in north Jersey and rains in south Jersey so central Jersey gets the rain/snow mix each storm (also known as the I95 cutoff). I live less than 1/2 mile off I95 and we get the mix almost every time.
