I purchased a soft top from a third vendor, and trying to install it. I am not seeing three screws holes when the black flat piece shown in picture is in front of the holes. There is a black bar also that is not aligning with the slit. Can somebody look at the pictures and tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

This is what my factory soft top looks like in that spot, makes me wonder if there is a plate that needs to be mounted so you can attach to that. I’ll investigate further once I’m home from work. Unless someone else gives you the answer. Also what too did you get, maybe check with the manufacturer for install help.

Lookis like you’re missing the rear plate. If you only orders the hard top it would not be there if I’m correct it comes with the factory soft top.

Thank you so much. Looks like I will need to order two of those rear plates.

@Njchris1968 beat me to it. If you started with a hard top, there are brackets and frame bolts that you will need and the window channels. I would call the top vendor to confirm. They may have the hardware as a separate kit.

Okay, thank you so much. Which vendor are you referring

Okay, thank you so much. Which vendor are you referring to? I may need to go to the Bronco6g marketplace to see if anyone is selling the part.

Sorry, meant whoever you bought the top from (unless it was from another Bronco owner selling their top). That company may have a kit with the needed items.

Unfortunately, I can't find that vendor because he deleted his Facebook account. That is the only contact information I have from him.

You need more than just the brackets and bolts. You will need the blind nuts that mount in the square holes in the body.

If Ford had just made the hardtop mount to the same 6 holes that are put in place for the softtop then life would be simpler.

As far as the top, is it an oem Ford top or another brand? If you can figure out the brand you may be able to source needed parts that way.

Do you know the part number for the blind nuts?

Thanks!
