Help with Remote Start

[Mean Green Bronc Machine]

My remote start has been working fine, now it won't work from my fob. I know that you're supposed to hit the lock button, then the "2x" button twice. Been doing it everyday for like a month and its worked every time. This morning it would not work. pressed the lock, then 2x, but instead of flashing green the little light flashes red. Tried several times, although I did not try on my phone or the other fob, because I was headed to work.
ANYWAY...any one know what the issue might be?

Does it work when you're standing right next to the Bronco?

Active Check Engine Lights will sometimes prevent remote start from working.

If any doors or the hood is open that can mess with things, too. Though I'm not sure how the Bronco handles missing doors.

well thank you! I didn't know how to start it with the fob, I always use the app lol maybe you are stuck in some kind of valet mode I have had that happen with after market starters before

I'll have to try when I get off of work. I forgot that I was playing with some settings last night, but the only thing I know I turned off for sure was the heated seats and steering wheel! Going to check settings then proceed to try again up close and from a distance.

Low on fuel? Haven't encountered this yet personally on a Bronco, but on a previous car it would not remote start if the low fuel light was on.

Might also be caused by the dome light or map light being left on.

Maybe the battery is dying on your fob?

What exactly is this valet mode? Also, do you know how to turn it on and off?

What does Ford valet mode do?
Valet mode disables all system features other than lock or unlock; such as, remote start, alarm triggers, and trunk release.
not sure on ford keys my old fob had to hold lock and unlock same time for 5 seconds or something

I'm just over half-full but I'll keep that in mind too. So many things trigger these computers.

Might also be caused by the dome light or map light being left on.

I was messing with the light settings, so maybe its something with that!
