Ok...I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but this Highway light switch is making me crazy!!! I'll pull it sometimes and it works Great...I pull it other times and it won't go on so I have to hold it so I can see the crazy deer running around trying to get hit by my 23 Bronco Badlands Sasquatch!!! On top of that...whose idea was it to make the owners manual digital??? Any thoughts are Greatly appreciated!!!...Amos

What's a "highway light?" High beams?

If so, do you have auto high beams turned on? I'm wondering if it's turning them on/off when you're trying to do the opposite. If so, try turning them off and see if that helps.

I think I know what's going on. He has the light switch in 'Auto' mode (the default). When you push the stalk forward, you would assume that the high beams would come on. If this is illuminated in the dash:
Ford Bronco Highway light switch 1709308282006

Then they will only come on when there is no car coming towards you or in front of you (tail lights detected). To disable this, either switch the headlight switch to 'D' (on)
Ford Bronco Highway light switch 1709308384502

or push/pull the stalk once to temporarily disable the auto-mode. This will cycle on/off with subsequent pushes of the stalk.

In the 'Headlamps On' mode ('D') the high beams will illuminate regardless of any other vehicle in view with any push of the stalk.

Thanks for the help...I'll give it a whirl and see if this works

In my driving experience, this works if you want the auto system off. Using the stalk to actuate the high beams should disable the auto system until you enable it again.
