I am stumped... So time to make a thread and put everything in one place.

@22broncoraptor had steering problems and @SierraBronco jumped in and it came apart. Through the process we found out that raptors have a welded in front differential mount that didn't allow us to drop the rack(spicer ultimate 44 clearance issue). Ended up swapping the motor and the belt from my spare pre programmed Hoss 3.0. Fired back up and it would stall out as you turned the steering wheel (best way to describe it).

Codes were a steering fault at 117 degrees which is dead center. After resetting everything we got the steering to work intermittent. Died completely about 2-4 hours we got off the trail.

Today, I stuck the bad motor swapped rack and stuck it in my bronco to see if it's good. Same codes but still had assist. Position was 117 with no change. Makes me think there is a fault still in the Raptor.

Plugging my rack back in, I had reset the PSCM and drive a little before it started working again. Usually you can swap racks and zero issues.

I really want to plug FDRS in and troubleshoot but this being a one off Godzilla raptor that's super dangerous.

Think I need to swap the old motor back in and see if I can reset everything. Something has to be different between Hoss 4.0 and Hoss 3.0.

Im thinking you cant use the 3.0 programming on a 4.0 rack. Quinn mentioned when upgrading the Ranger Raptor measly 2.0 Rack, it would not accept the 3.0 programming and he had to use the Braptors VIN and PMI and eventually even order the Braptors 4.0 rack for converting and using the internals for his own ranger raptor billet setup. So there are differences.
Most likely related to the 4.0 live suspension.

FYI you can drop the Raptor rack just pull the diff bolt. We've installed the 74w rack twice on ours. There is a YT video with some tips. It is crazy tight and need to do a dance move but does go.
