I don't know who's planning to redline this thing for speed? I had a motorcycle for that. I'm looking to see how slow I can go over things...something I couldn't do with my motorcycle....lol...

yes, I'm old but my first car was a 59 ford with a 352 police interceptor engine that would easily bury the speedometer at 120. This was with drum brakes, before radial tires, 3 speed manual with overdrive, etc. But when you are 16 you don't worry about safety that much. Then the muscle car era began a few years later and those were wild times.

Not sure why you would ever want or need to go 120+ in a bronco, but you wouldn’t need any mods to do it other than removing the speed limiter.
I don’t think my Black Diamond can do it. It has the power, but not the stability.

I see some high end SUVs out here in Southern California that speed down the highway at 90+. But those things aren’t spec’d out to go serious off-roading. The Mercedes G class is the first to come to mind. Then there is the Land Rover Defender.

You can spec a Defender with 22” tires.

96 last night on I94. It's pretty stable at speed.
I get a feeling the different models have different behavior at high speed. I would not take mine that fast with current configuration.

I have a non SQ Badlands. Not a regular thing, but a long line of semis was going to block me from my exit 😊

yea even if you take out the limiter, keep in mind that more than likely the components of the bronco that deal with the drivetrain were designed to function and keep stable up to that speed. Just because the engine an transmission will allow you to go faster than 100mpg does not mean the rest of the components will keep stable. If the engineers are told the vehicle will cap at 100, and be an off road vehicle, then the rest of the vehicle will be designed around that.

In my opinion do at your own risk.

I practically piss my pants in my Wrangler above 80. Cannot imagine doing 100 in anything built the shape of a loaf of bread and sitting high on a bouncy suspension.

I might have accidentally hit 101 driving mine home on I-80/90. She has great get up and go and I only got the 2.3.

removing a limiter in a lifted bronco/jeep? It's for general road and off-road use, not a track. I don't understand why anybody would do this...

Mine wouldn’t go faster than 101. Even tried downhill.
